The book offers basic exercises on the new Thumpy flute in solo and duo pieces. These can be used to introduce flute playing to those who want to start playing the (Böhm) flute, including children. At the same time, the book has various enjoyable pieces for the advanced level. For the flutist, playing the Thumpy flute can extend ones flexibility of embouchure and tonal quality. The notation of the pieces uses a special note head which indicates how to position both the thumb.
